About Us

Growing and developing with our markets

Claremon Print was founded in 2002 by Thomas Barrett, who was initially the majority shareholder. The business was managed and run by John Conroy, who soon acquired a 30% stake in the business and played a major role in growing the company.

Claremon achieved steady year-on-year growth, even during the financial crisis of 2007/2008 when John identified new opportunities and diversified the focus, expanding the business beyond print into wider cross-channel marketing activities. John acquired the business from Thomas Barrett in 2017.

The move to larger premises

Also in 2017, the company moved to its existing location on a 5,000ft2 site on Wakefield Road in Bradford, originally occupied by long-established Bradford business Wheelden Print. The two businesses had worked closely together for some time and when Wheelden Print was wound up, Claremon acquired many of the assets as well as recruiting much of the skilled workforce. As a result, the business continued to serve a diverse and expanded customer database with a mixture of print-related and marketing activities.

New acquisition

In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Claremon Print acquired Elland-based design business DMD Design & Marketing. As a result, Claremon is now ideally placed to offer clients a comprehensive and cohesive range of services, covering the entire field from concept and design to production and print.

Meeting the challenges of a changing world, along the way Claremon has acquired significant expertise in cross-channel marketing and print marketing portals, now serving clients with up to 250 users to streamline ordering services and increase both efficiency and accuracy across the board. Investment in wide format print in 2020 has further enhanced the company’s portfolio and client base.

An experienced management team

Claremon employs an experienced team headed up by John Conroy, Director of Claremon since its inception in 2002 and Managing Director since 2017. John has 25 years of experience in print and packaging, with a track record in implementing technology to improve the customer experience. He is supported by Operations Director Mark Bailey, who has over a decade of experience in the printing industry and has successfully project managed many portal rollouts and other complex seasonal campaigns.

The management team includes Nicole Mortimer, who joined Claremon to set up the wide format print department, and lead designer Nikki-Jarvis-Jones, who brings to the mix a Masters Degree in Design and Art Direction focused on Cross-Cultural Branding.

Working together, the team shares a vision to provide high-quality graphic design, print and associated marketing services to businesses across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors. If you would like to discuss a potential project contact us today.
